MAACHIS

Built on the Aeres silhouette, Maachis is inspired by India’s vintage matchbox art & the absolute thrill of lighting a match! The shoe comes packaged in a life-sized Comet matchbox. Tucked beneath the back tab is a functional striker strip that can actually light a match - literal fire at your heel. The upper combines soft microfibre and suede overlays, while the inner is lined with rich matchbox art. The signature shooting star is re-lit with bold reds, striking typography and heritage-inspired graphics borrowed from classic matchbox design. Popularized in Western films, cowboys were often seen striking matches against the soles of their boots to light a cigarette. More recently, we saw a similar moment in Dhurandhar , where Ranveer Singh lit a match using the back of his shoe. There's something satisfying about striking a match against your shoe, and we're excited for people to experience that little thrill for themselves. Caution: Contains a functional striker strip.
